Did you know that fear of the Lord comes with a promise of good health and physical strength?
That’s right, the Bible tells us that reverent fear and obedience will make our bodies healthy and strong.
“Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord [with reverent awe and obedience] and turn [entirely] away from evil.
It will be health to your body [your marrow, your nerves, your sinews, your muscles—all your inner parts].
And refreshment (physical well-being) to your bones.”
Proverbs 3:7-8 AMP
Reverent fear is a deep love, respect, worship, devotion, humility and adoration for the LORD and His word.
Reverent fear describes a heart posture that is dedicated to being attentive and obedient to God’s leading and instruction.
This is the foundation to any health and fitness journey.
If you’re experiencing sickness, pain, weariness or weakness in your body, you can remind God of His promise.
Ask God to show you if there’s any area in your life that is not pleasing to Him.
When our heart is right with God, we can approach Him with boldness and confidence, knowing that His answer is yes and amen.
Decide today that you will repent and turn entirely away from the sin that is robbing you of good health.
Remember, the enemy is a thief who wants to steal, kill and destroy you, but Jesus came so that you may have and fully enjoy life in abundance (John 10:10).
I’m praying for you …
“Dear friend, I pray all goes well for you. I hope you are as strong in body, as I know you are in spirit” (3 John 2 CEV).
